i was dj on a concert a week ago. I hadn’t started my set and was just playing some random chill skream music. but then suddenly the sound got really bad, the hi died and the low got uber big so it was basically just hevay bass and nothing else. The rca cable was a bit short so i changed to another longer cable and it got better but i have got that problem with that longer cable. Is it the cable that is causing this or the audio interface? I’m using Numark Omni built in soundcard. I have never had this problem when i’m home though. It is on my too do list to buy hi quality rca cables, but if it is the soundcard then new cables won’t help much.
did you press the filter by accident? At a gig once this happened to me, and I thought I had blown ym speakers, so I couldn’t figure it out, because I turned my speakers on and off and restarted my program, then I noticed a girl who came over to see me was leaning in the filter button.
It wasn’t the filter or blown speaker as when i changed to a longer cable(the other one was stretched a bit) it went better. And i checked all eq’s fx’s and everything.
did you check the soundcard latency? If that doesn’t fix it, try fiddling with a different soundcard. You might have to re-install your soundcard drivers just to make sure.
