yes!
hate the battle style layout…but I am sure I am in the minority…
Id be more interested to know where the tone-arm is. lol. But yeah, defo fake. I am super intrigued to see what the tt usb ports are for. Maybe for turntables with built in midi controllers such as the RP8000 and PDX3000. Also could for TT’s with built in soundcards (Pretty much every Super OEM now).
It says Serato in the top left, so it probably only outputs timecode, no tonearm needed.
I dont think Rane would ever commit turntable suicide. That type of product already exists from Numark, Stanton, Denon, and Technics. None of which are still in production (ns7 iii is still in production, but the standalone units stopped at the v7 mk1).
The only other option in that design would be an ELP (laser stylus), but that would up the price and would be revolutonary to have the technology in that small of a form factor.
My guess about “Turntable” deck 1&3 usb inputs is it’s just awkward labeling for a simple USB hub because of a future Denon/Unknown product with rotating platter and usb port (SC5900)
No rec out?
Session Output just like on the 62
What about send return for external fx?
On Facebook, Vekked mentioned the Rane Flex FX allows for external fx…
The FlexFX on previous RANE mixers was just the name given to the send-return which seem to be missing on the back of this unit. This is a curious question. Maybe we will see the usb ports on the back used for something similar to the djm750 mk2? Either way, people that already use external FX units will be sad to see send-return loops gone to the wayside.
