I am new at this and just bought some use Stanton T62’s off somebody, but then i realized I think it might be better to start off with MP3 tables so i found this guy who would trade tables. He has Stantion C314’s. Is this a good idea?
I would swap the tables for the cdj’s. The tables have bugger all torque and so would be very hard to learn to mix with, the cdj’s will be much easier to learn on. Personally I started on pioneer 3500’s, they were absolutly pathetic at holding two records in time and the platter would stop with very little pressure applied, this eventually made me better at beatmatching but took longer to get decent enough to play out… But after practicing on these the first time I played out on technics it was so easy to mix I couldn’t believe it. so having shit decks can be both good and bad, but if I were you i’d pass on both save up a little more and get super OEM’s off eBay.
