Good luck on that one. Let’s see where you’ll get the replacement needles once they break.

Go for Shure, Stanton or Ortofon.

would these be the replacement needles for once they break here?

Those are not very good and will break quick- M44-7/Gs aren’t that expensive.

please don’t get those. as stated by Xonetacular, get shure m44-7s. you’ll probably go through 4-5 sets of those cheap ones before you ever have to replace m44-7s

If you’re trying to save money, it’s not that hard to mount a Shure M44-7 cartridge if you can find a head shell for it. I’ve got M44-7 mounted on a Stanton headshell. Just use needle nose pliers, match the colored wires to the pegs, and be very careful. If you’re playing on anything other than time code, you might want to get a turntable repair pro to position the cartridge for you.

But yeah, def. worth the investment to just get something good, especially considering its only $50 [ame=“Amazon.com”]Amazon.com: Shure M44-7 DJ Turntable Cartridge: Musical Instruments@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/2148ijTmT4L.@@AMEPARAM@@2148ijTmT4L[/ame]

this one right here is the shit! http://www.thomann.de/gb/shure_whitelabel_tonabnehmersystem.htm

Jesus fucking Christ, there aint half some shit typed on here by elitist snobs.
The ones posted up up will be no doubt sonicly superior last longer and will suck your cock when you’re bored, but they cost an arm and a leg and styli are the best part of £30 UKP and upwards to replace.
If you can afford them get them by all means.

Yes, the Cart that the original poster linked to will work just fine but you will need a headshell. These are around £8 UK pounds or so.

Or get a generic Altai Headshell Cart & Stylus package like this

I carry one of those for if my concords go down by accident. You’d be a tit if you tried and scratch with them, but for straight playing music it does the job, sounds great and tracks just fine.
Replacement Styli cost peanuts too.

Edit a quick search brings up

Ive got the pink ortofon scratch’s and the Pro S for gigs,
Not that much into my needles but id say they were decent

Do you plan on scratching or just mixing? Are you using a DVS or vinyl? What is your budget?
