record ext. synth in ableton

I have an audio 4 dj interface. It has inputs for both phono and line and I have been trying to record my kaossilator in ableton for its bass sounds. No matter what I am doing I get cracks in the sound that sound a lot like latency cracks. Has anyone been successful in recording with this interface or think its able to.

Don’t have a A4DJ, but I currently use a NI Session I/O (I’m guessing the A/D is the same…) to record with and have no such issues.

Give us your set-up (OS, hardware, wiring, s/w versions, etc.) and somebody may be able to help.
