Red Bull Music Academy Lectures - must see!

I was mega surprised to find nothing on this so far on DJTT apart from the odd mention - but I recently discovered this fantastic resource of musical knowledge and I’d love to share! :slight_smile:

Red Bull Music Academy - for those of you who don’t know - hand picks ‘participants’ who apply from all around the globe (producers, DJs, musicians etc) to attend a series of very exclusive and intimate lectures each year in a different notable city across the globe.

I became pretty obsessed with the youtube channel, which shows snippets from the lectures.. but then I found the goldmine :slight_smile: the website (under the tab “LECTURE VIDEOS”) contains pretty much of the RBMA lectures from years and years of it’s existence in video and mp3 format - and they’re super interesting!

If you have a spare hour, have a listen to the likes Skream, Benga, Jazzie B, Mark Ronson, Gabriel Ross, Matmos, Roska and so many many other interesting folks chat about their craft… They’re so good at giving a multi-cultured background to the way music is now.

Maybe i have too much time on my hands.. but then again I don’t watch TV or play video games…! Hope you enjoy :slight_smile:

I bought it from a former participant through Craiglist in Berlin.
Maybe it was stolen, because an iPod, Ableton Live 7, a Redbull Music Academy DVD and a CD with pictures from the Academy and Ableton Live projects was in there too.
The girl who sold me the backpack didn’t want it back for some strange reasons :smiley:

That’s why I love craiglist. Surprise surprise…
