Having trouble seeing any comparison, RJ-11 is standard phone jack while RJ-45 is standard network connection (which is what the Lemur uses). Are they planning on releasing any other types of connectors?, cause most laptops these days dont even have an RJ-11 socket anymore.

yeah .. give us RJ-45 and we can talk again .. but i would think its not impossible.

Why do you need an rj45?

The ipod/ipad has bluetooth… and you can transmit midi too.

why is everything goodbye lemur this and goodbye lemur that?

It’s kind of like saying new deer rifle-goodbye .50 cal sniper rifle
new ford taurus-goodbye mclaren

idk i just don’t get it.
:confused::slight_smile:

because bluetooth and wifi are both not as low latency and more importantly can fall apart more easily in a crowded high tech environment. rj-45 would be tons more reliable.

Unless a party goer who happens to have a pair of scissors and a bad streak when they have had too much tequila comes by and snips the cable.

Hey, it happens, just sayin.

Ah, the classic ‘punter with a pair of scissors’ scenario.

I’ve lost count of the number of times that’s happened to me.
