This was the video that clinched the deal for me and stopped me from buying Serato, I’m interested to know if there was a youtube vid sold you your dj software of choice. Can’t believe twas only 2 n a half years ago, feels like I’ve had Traktor for a lifetime
Considering the views ain’t to high, I’d guess there will be a few here who haven’t seen it. I really don’t miss the old Traktor 3 colours
Not wanting to be too much of a fanboy but it was the DJTT tutorial videos that convinced me traktor was the way to go! I started on Virtual DJ but they showed me the full capabilities of Traktor pro which trumped the others in almost every way!
@fullenglishpint - I have a strong feeling your not alone there! Would be intresting to know what the figures actually are, especially the VCI 100, I certainly wouldn’t of got one if it wasn’t for Techtools.
I was already on Traktor and thought, yeah man this is for me.
I was recommended Traktor by a friend (member of this forum these days).I was looking at all sorts of crapola until he pointed me at Traktor and after seeing him use it i knew it was for me. Nothing else got a look in.
I joined the NI forum but never posted cus i though it was full of dicks hahaha
2 years later i though id give the forum another go cus id just got Traktor 3 and needed some advice. The rest is history.
I joined DJTT simply cus Chilly was a member and i though it would be funny… Turned out to be one of the smartest things ive ever done..!
Hmm I started off using BPM Studio back in 2002, which I think was one of the first mp3 dj mixing programs that had proper hardware to go with it. Moved over to Traktor when ver2 came out, probably around 2003-4. I only just upgraded to Pro earlier this year!
I saw a comment from a DJ, who I think was the announcer, that said they were kind of excited when Ean was going to do the deal in Berlin cause they wanted to see how he did it. Problem was after they saw it they still didn’t know how he did it.
Despite one of me friends telling me for months to check out Techtools, it was That Vid with Eans old Arcade mod that had my brow raised for midi controllers which then made me check out Techtools.
Timing was perfect, many of Eans early Traktor tutorials were posted right at the same time I was making the transition to DVS. To think that only a few months before I saw a couple of youtube vids, a computer was just something I’d use to order vinyl with.
i’ve been on traktor since traktor1 or 2, long before the explosion of youtube’s popularity.
i’ve had faith in the product since traktor3 that this software competed with all of the other dj tools - but it was probably the video endorsements from Richie Hawtin and Dj Rafik that really enforced this for me. i think that was a couple of years after the release of traktor3. before the bigname players like these guys started professing their allegiance with the software, there wasn’t much respect from guys who were on vinyl, ableton or cdjs - so was really cool seeing these vids. then it was kinda like “how you like me now bitches?” hahaha
no but seriously i was so happy when t3 was anounced cause i got sick of using t2…sometimes i still miss the simpler features t3 had…not had to worry about all those crazy fx´s…still love it and still use it when in mood of using a keyboard
