replacing pitch faders on my pdx 2000

Hey everyone,

both my pdx 2000s have a dead spot from the first 3 + notches. It doesn’t move and then on the third notch it goes from 0.7 to 1.6 before it reaches th e 4th notch.

I pull the turntable apart last night. There is a little adjustment potentiometer but it seems to only shift the 0 position of the fader. If I could find a generic 100mm fader that isn’t soldered to a board I could easily switch 'em out.

Anyone know a place that I can order that kind of part off of?

Thanks

Ryan

Hey everyone,

I just found out that pitch faders are linear slide pots.

You can find lots of different styles online to buy, now I just need to track one down.

keep you posted

BTW: Make sure they have the same resistance (100K ohm or whatever)… sounds like you are already aware of this if you have mentioned the linear/logarithmic thing, but worth mentioning in case anyone else sees this post in the distant future.

Do let us know how this goes. The faders on my pdx a1 mk2 decks are getting wider with age : in over a year they’ve gone from “about -11/+11” to “-14/+12” - interestingly the zero is still in the right position
