Ive always wondered how he stuttered the vocals so well like that do you think he put on a beat repeat with some serious automation or what would you do to achieve the effect in the beginning?

Thats a loop for sure, running a repeat like you said. Probably on a separate channel, giving it a virtuoso effect with said effects.
