Reverse playback in Traktor Pro - Finally found a way!

You don’t have to mess again with the Reverse Grain Effect as I found a solution for this problem

cool! I shall try it sometimes!

Woooowwwwwww nice find! bookmarked, I’ll try it out some time.

Great, thanks, good idea and yes I’ll try it too.

Hey man, can you put a Demo .mp3 with this effect going on? And how is it sounds when you use reverse grain instead of your technique?
Thanks!!

sweet works perfectly, mapped it to my 0 key on my keyboard to test it out, but yeah with great find!
only thing is it would be nice that it could immediately play the track backwards, rather than pause the track, but still great!

Necrobump!

Did NI add a reverse play in one of recent versions of Traktor 2 (2.5+)?

Nope.

Hey Stewe - I bet you could add some Flux commands to this Reverse Hack to have the track continue to play (but muted) while the reversed audio is played?

Flux mode is meant to be used while a deck is playing. This mapping seems to have turn of “play” while deck is in reverse so yeah, that trick wouldn’t work.

Workaround is to create a timer with some modifiers that are tracking the beats (when in reverse) and then create a button invert beatjump determined by modifier trackers.

You just made my brain hurt.

You must know by now that Stewe’s brain doesn’t work like our brains, mate!

Stewe is a robot - they guys a fuckin’ Traktor/mapping GENIUS!!! :+1: The guys at NI should send Stewe free stuff - he helps absolutely EVERYONE around here.

Don’t be surprised if he comes back to this thread with a working, one button, one press, reverse effect that picks up play in exactly the right position…

I found a picture of Stewe floating around the internet.

 also only a human mortal!

If I could get a buck for the each time I had hear this I would have enough to buy a spare power supply for my S2. Thank you for the support!
