“RIP! A Remix Manifesto”

I have a feeling like this film will find some appreciation with this community.

I think the topics covered in this films would make a great article discussions.

as for this thread, I would like people to post to they’re knowledge which digital dj(s) are pushing the culture right now. One of my favorites “Girl Talk” is featured in the above mentioned film. I’m curious to see the work of other individuals (as suggested by you)

also, can anyone who watches the film tell me what software Girl Talk is using to play live and edit samples?

If that is ableton then does anyone know how to configure it as shown in the movie. My ableton workflow resembles nothing of what he uses. third party plug-ins maybe?

it was a hunch of mine, as it could be easily done with ableton i feel. upon further investigation, he uses something called AudioMulch:

what are you looking for specifically?

i think tom cosm is another good example of an artist who shares his work and his workflow, furthering the cause rather then trying to make a buck.

and ean, of course, is another one sharing his workflow and his knowledge of all things digital.

bentosan as well, he is a treasure island of knowledge and works hard at sharing it with even amateur treasure seekers.
