S2/Traktor Pro 2.5 | “There are no mapped controllers. Switch on the device”

Hi there,

I recently purchased a Kontrol S2 and have installed Traktor Pro 2.5 (not using the most recent version as I don’t want to update my OS).

I’m not able to select the S2 during the set-up wizard, but I’m able to select it from the Audio Setup and Control Manager pages in Preferences. When I go to recalibrate the mapping I get the following message:

“There are no mapped controllers. Switch on the device”

Problem is, the device is on (and already recognized by the software). When I turn on the S2 the lights all light up, then fade out, but the USB light remains lit up.

I’m not sure if this is a driver issue, but I’ve installed everything according to NI’s directions. The system I’m working on is a Macbook Pro (2011) with 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 4gb of RAM.

Please help! Really want to get this working, trying to make the switch from Serato and have been nothing but frustrated so far… :rage:

if you have S2 mk2 you need at least Traktor 2.6 for the mk2 to work. However you can switch your device in MIDI mode and use some custom maps.
