S4 and Yamaha HS80 monitors
Really easy question but which cables do I need to connect my S4 to a set of Yamaha HS80m monitors? What is the best way? XLR?
I have the same set of speakers and love them! Right now I have them hooked up to my S4 via 1/4 inch cable. I would imagine the XLR connection might be better, (most venues and clubs use this) however the S4 only has RCA outs and 1/4 in outs.
You could buy XLR to 1/4in but that probably wouldn’t make any or much difference. Go for a set of 1/4 in cables that are ‘balanced’ and you should be fine.

Make sure you know if they’re RS or RTS jacks you need.
I assume RTS since it’s balanced.
