S4 customs charges
Just a quick question for anyone in the UK that ordered their S4 from DJTT - how much were the customs charges? It’s quite a bit cheaper to order the S4 from DJTT than a UK retailer (about £150) but not if the customs charges are going to be massive…

are charges based on weight? only ever had to pay customs twice on, both were different sized packages. but both times it was £25.
thinking it may be a flat charge?

ask the store to write ‘contains bubble wrap’ all over the box. sorted 
You could end up paying VAT on the item, at 20%, plus customs duty which averages 5-9% for most items (there are 14000 different rates going from 0% to 85%), plus a handling fee to the Royal Mail for them repackaging your parcel that you have opened.
Just e-mailed customer support for the same query, shipping to South Africa. There’s about a R3000.00 difference (about $400) between the DJTT and the local price!:eek:
