S4 Jog Wheel & Midifighters

Hi Guys,

Well I’m over excited waiting for my Midi Fighters that should be with me on Saturday.
Thank you Zach & DJTT.

A question about the S4 Jog wheel.
When I want to use it to cue a songs, it’s slow in response.

Almost like I turn the wheel a few times and seconds later it responds.

Is there a setting that I’m missing somewhere for the response time.
This is both on my Mac and desktop PC (windows 7).

Anyone running a Midi Fighter with S4 - Some tips will be appreciated.
This will be with the gratification mapping. Strictly effects.

i run a s4+mf setup, and nothing like that has never happened to me.

this seems more a PC issue than a config problem…
in browser mode u have a slow response too from the jogwheel?
buttons and knobs are working without lag?

what is your latency set to? Is it only the JW, or all controls have slow response (buttons push, EQ knobs, etc)

Are you using the S4 software or T2? If S4 have you updated the software to 1.0.1? If you have, try calibrating your jogs under Kontrol S4 in preferences.

Using The S4 Software - I’ve done the update.
Only the jog wheel response is slow.

All other functions are working like a charm.
Played my gig last night and same thing.
When I want to cue a song and use the wheel it’s almost a 3 second delay before it moves the track.

Will check the latency setting today. I left it as default.

I must say… The S4 is the dream come true.

As photojojo suggests, try recalibrating from the preferences menu.

It’s generally better to start using TP2 instead of the TPS4. Once you start Traktor Pro 2 for the first time, it will guide you through the recalibration procedure of the jogs.
