S4 & KRK Sound issue…

Not sure whether this is the right place to post this.
Only just noticed that with the S4, and my KRK RP6’s, there’s very little bass in comparison to if I was listening to music through say iTunes (I’m aware iTunes has an equalizer). So does this just mean that the S4’s EQ is to blame or am I missing something? 
Can provide a video comparison if need be.
In your comparison, are you also playing iTunes via the S4’s soundcard, or connected directly to your computer?
iTunes through the S4 sound card, yeah.
I did a quick side by side comparison, and couldn’t notice much of a difference. I have the EQ in iTunes disabled, and I have the limiter off in Traktor. My speakers are EV ELX115P, and the bass sounded the same on each.
Think I’ve realized that the issue is. I stand up mixing, and the speakers are below me. So it sounds like there’s less bass. But I sit down listening to iTunes, and I had the EQ on. So not only was the bass boosted, but the sound was closer to my ears.
