S4 + Midi Controller

I am looking to have more than 2 tracks and 8 samples. I only require 4 samples to be beat matched so I have been considering purchasing a cheap midi controller for simple samples and connecting it via one of the S4 channels. Any recommendations?

X-1 would do it and alot more, or you could just get an LPD8, Pad Kontrol, Nano pad, etc.

Would the Pad Kontrol, Nano etc conflict with Traktor Pro 2?

nope, not as long as you have selected a different USB IN/OUT port. You can add as much controller as you have USB port… and patience to do the MIDI mapping :smiley:

I think he ment different midi channel, not USB port.
