S4 Scratch upgrade

Hi guys i just wanted to know if this is right or someone is trying to scam me.

Somebody selling there s4 scratch upgrade has stated that “I never had to register it as it upgrades your current software there is not activation keys for it”

when i asked about de registering it with native instruments.

Is this right? Would it be ok to buy it off him?

AFAIK the upgrade requires you to register another serial. So to use Scratch you need a serial for the S4/Pro and a serial for the Scratch Upgrade.

Yep you have to register the scratch upgrade to turn pro into scratch pro.
