Hey fellow DJTT enthusiasts.
First post here and have a quick question about the S4.
I recently saw the video on DJTT of an S4 being used to control 2 decks in traktor while vinl was controlling the other two decks. In order to do this would i need any type of audio interface in addition to the S4 order w/ the free traktor scratch upgrade kit, or would I just need two turntables and plug them in directly into the S4.
Thanks for the help guys, I’m trying to finally figure out if a switch from xponent to the S4 would be 100% worth it with my goals in mind.

The Xponent lacks the S4’s inputs, which means in order to use vinyl control records you’d need an audio interface (which comes with the non-S4 TSP packages, which is part of their additional expense), and that will take up one more slot on your chain of USB devices as well.
I’ve used both the Xponent and the S4, and I don’t think you’ll look back after getting an S4, the surface alone feels much more tactile, grabby, but with finesse, I think because it runs using HID when hooked up to Traktor, and the Xponent can only be run at MIDI speeds (HID is much, much faster), so there’s a difference in the responsiveness that is subtle, but you won’t want to go back.
Thanks for the help guys, I am hopefully getting it by August 23rd so I can save that 130.
Ben Grimm thanks for your input. I love my exponent and am very excited to get the s4 as my new controller. I don’t plan on getting turntables and vinyl code until after I get the s4.
