Sample Deck/ Track deck toggle button Mapping
In the spirit of flexibility in a set, does anyone know if it is possible to map a button to toggle a sample deck into a track deck and vice versa? It would be awesome if this is possible.

Yes create a toggling modifier and assign the modifier’s conditions to some of the commands included in the ‘layout’ menu in the controller manager (deck flavor, size, advanced panel, etc, etc…)
Thanks! lol, I was impatient and found this out with a few trial and errors.
For Those interested as to how I did it:
create a modifier, set it to direct, set value to one, make condition “Mod 1(or number you are using) = 0”, map this to the button you want to use to toggle between deck types.
Then create a modifier (Same number), set it to direct, set value to zero, make condition “Mod 1(or number you are using) = 1”, map this to the same button.
in the “add in” menu in “Layout” add a “deck Flavor” button. map it to the same button as the modifiers, set it to direct, select the type of deck, set condition to “mod 1 = 0”. Duplicate this and select the other state of the deck you wish to toggle to.
That’s usually when you do learn mapping instead of taking the the answer served on a spoon. Congrats to you, I do appreciate you made the effort.
Thanks dude! definitely better to learn ![]()
hey
I actually done this a much easier way.
Don’t have my mac here to remind myself exactly how, but just selected the Deck flavour command, aim it at deck C, learn it to a keyboard/controller button and set the interaction option to cycle through (again cant remember the exact term don’t have mac here). So each time you press it it cycles through sample deck, track deck and external input, and just goes round over and over again. No modifiers or complicated stuff needed.
The only slight issue with it is that when its a sample deck it changes the deck size to small, and then when it gets round to track deck it stays small. So add a deck size command, also aimed to deck C and also learned to the same keyboard/controller key, set to turn the deck size to large/full/whatever the term is. Each time you cycle through it cant have an effect on sample or external input as they only come in one size, but when it gets to track deck it’ll make it full size as well automatically.
k
wait how did you get that to work if both C and D have to be track decks in order for the size change to happen? How did you get it to work on an individual basis?
That way is easier, but I’m just being picky saving myself that extra button press to skip over live input lol
I do use same principle with out the modifier and also with two buttons but in this order:
one: direct/sample deck
two: direct/track deck (second press go full size)
