Sampler Button…

Hello,
I picked have a brand new vci and the sampler button isn’t working. I have loaded the tci file several times but the board just wont go into sample mode. Do I need to press a modifier key to get into sample mode? Any help would be much appreciated.

Is your VCI a DJTT SE model? If you don’t have firmware 1.3, it won’t work correctly.

Tell us the details of your system (computer, OS, sound card, etc.) and you VCI and we can better help you.

did you hit sample and the button for the headphone of the deck you want to sample?

Thanks for the responses. I have a brand new vci100 SE. I am assuming the 1.3 on the back is my firmware versions. I am on OSX 10.6 and am using an Adudio 4 DJ. When I press the sampler button the ‘data’ light goes on. But the headphone buttons don’t start flashing like in the video.

Are you pressing the headphone button at the same time?

I had my VCI out last night and the Sampler was working fine (Headphone lights flashing). And the 1.3 is the firmware version alright.

Not sure what to say. You are trying to press this while a track is running? Sorry to be obvious, but it is all I can think up at the moment.

I guess I am all good. When I press sampler button the headphone buttons dont light up, but board does go into sample mode if I choose a headphone button. I guess lights are luxuries.

sampler doesnt really “record” in a correct way

i’m having problems with my sampler

i press the sampler button
i press the blinking headphone button

traktor records a sample but it always leaves out 1 beat/count or half a beat/count

when the sample starts to loop it sound messed up

anybody experiencing this

using
macbook latest osx
vci 100 arcade
NI audio 2

My sampler button use to be ok, However recently the LEDs have stopped flashing but the feature still works. LEDs do light up when cueing though. To be honest I don’t really use it anyway. I just bang a loop in instead.

ridim, I had this same exact problem. I had my sample rate set to 96000 and i had this same sort of “out of sync”/“missing a beat” problem. Changing it from 96000 down to 48000 fixed it for me. I don’t know why this would be but try it out!
