Scam?

So I came across this..

Yes, i am selling the whole set for $1000. I am right now in the United Kingdom, but if you are interested in buying it, i can send it to you via WissCargo (www.wisscargo.com) and they can also receive the payment from you, because they offer escrow services.
They will give you a 15 days period, from the moment you receive it, in which you will have to test it and if it is not like you have expected, you will have to return it and the company will send you the money back.
Let me know if you want to buy it and i will try to find out more about the process.

Hi there,
I will pay the shipping and insurance taxes. It will be about 30GBP.
I also found out the steps of the transaction with them:
If you decide to buy it, you will have to email me your name and address and i will send it to Wiss Cargo.
They will confirm you when they will have it in their custody and they will give you a tracking number as well so you can track it online at www.wisscargo.com
Then you will have to send the payment to the company’s bank account.
After they will verify the payment, they will bring the equipment to you. It won’t take longer than 2 days.
You will have 15 days to inspect it, and if anything is not like you have expected, you will have to return them and the company will send you the payment back.
If you will decide to keep it, the company will send me the payment to my account after the 15 days pass.
I will pay the shipping and insurance taxes.

the DJM-800 alone, even in used scratched up condition is rarely seen as low as $1000, so yeh I agree.

Get a friend to send a reply offering to purchase the items in person..posing as someone who lives in Belleville.

Let this be a warning to people who encounter similar ads.

Its a scam ..

The guy offering the Decks is most likely the same guy (or guys) who have registered wisscargo the shipping and escrow site … its NOT a real company.

“wisscargo.com is located at the IP 212.227.212.188 It was registered by on 13 Jan 2012. It is visited by approximately 3 visitors daily”

Would you trust that site ?

What website did you use to retrieve the IP , registration date and traffic on wisscargo.com?

seems like a small property to be running a delivery firm from :stuck_out_tongue: they misspelt quote too but the website does look professional,scary tbh i could see my mum and other less web savvy people being easily taken in by something like this type of scam !
