Just received my TSP2, Kontrol X1 and a pair on white vinyl.
Just set it all up and played for a few minutes and I can not believe the one huge difference between Scratch live and TSP.
The time code! I can’t believe how much better TSP is over Scratch live.
I feel like that is the most important thing when using one or the other. TSP is much better. Scratching, cuing, power down and when i cue really slowly. I just can’t believe the difference
So far i am very impressed and glad i got rid of scratch live.
The hardware is built to last. I am already abusing the X1. I actually don’t know how i didn’t have a controller when i was using scratch live.
Interesting! I bought SSL1 when it came out, and weighed that against Traktor Scratch. At the time, I felt TS was nowhere near the product that Scratch Live was.
If I were to buy now; I am not sure where I would end up. Both are great products, and TS sure is doing a good job of upgrading their ware.
I don’t like the paid updates, and I have heard nightmares about NI cust. support.
However, the timecode sounds ace, and the the controllerist versatility Traktor offers in case you just wanna rock a smaller controller unit (party now!) is killer.
How is the CPU overhead with TS?
