scratch pro?

Traktor 3 had 4 decks, so the new version of Traktor having 4 decks is a no brainier.

bentosan, there is no posibility for a good 3 deck layout in traktor atm, even with 4 decks, ull still have 1 doin nothin takin space, thats what i mean, for the new layout to show just 3 decks if possible, and then possibly using the space for deck 4 for a small rack off effects or something.
or a setup of a b c or
a
b
c

but we’ll know in a week or so :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

and this is shamlessly stolen from here:

Right guys - No need for more speculation!

I rang a few UK retailers, one of which rang their rep for NI and it’s distributors. It turns out that -

There are going to still be two versions of Traktor

  1. Traktor Scratch Pro
  2. Traktor DJ Pro

These were due to be released on the 15th Novemeber but the rep said NI are considering bringing the release date forward to the 1st of November (possibly due to the leaks). The Rep has a working beta version and it wll be on show at BPM. According to the store the next batch of Traktor software will be the Pro version.

It will still be keeping the same Audio 8 Soubdcard/Interface so it is a software upgrade only.
It will be the same price as the current TS package and a paid for upgrade so wait if you want to save money.

New Features-

-On import of your tracks they will be auto-beatmapped accurately

-Therefore the 21 fx will apparently never go out of time

-You can Flick through album art

-As you already know, there are 4 controllable decks and a redesign to the interface as shown in the picutures.

sounds good to me :sunglasses:

I still have my reservations about the auto-beatmapping functions. I have so many questions! GAH!

We will have answers- very soon. Techincally, Dj TT could get in trouble for posting the full scoop early. That being said you will hear it here first.

Thanks Ean, can wait for the offical word.

I just picked up Traktor Scratch for dirt (very cheap) so I can wait to try scratch pro or pro by it self!

So excited about this…
chur for the extra information other1!

thx midifidler, i hope the info i posted/stole/linked to from another forum is not gonna get us into truble, if so I have no objection to having my post removed

peace

Nah, no problems there

We’re supposed to get official word today about this.

Keep checking NI’s homepage!

So excited…I’m a 32 year old school girl right now…

I can imagine a lot of people are getting their moneys worth out of their F5 key at the moment. Ean will no doubt post info on the blog to so keep refreshing the blog page too :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll tell you what…I have stopped beatgridding and cue dropping tracks for the last couple of weeks. I’m hoping that at a minimum we can combine cue points…most notably a Load Marker and BeatGrid.

I think that would be huge.

I would like 8 or 10 MIDI assignable Cue Points, personally. Also, combining Cue Points would be great, as well as setting multiple tempos in a song with beatgrids. Not warping, but just being able to tell the system that Here to here is 130bpm, there to there is 132, and there it goes back to 130

here we go

:rage: €99 / $119 upgrade price ..thats stealling from us..i bet it has more bugs than ever..

Im pretty angry that I did not wait 4 months to buy the whole scratch setup. Its the same damn price as it was before. :disappointed: I also bought 3.x 1 months earlier, and now I have to pay? Even Ableton did not do that! GRRRRRR!!!

Dudes…it’s FREE if you own T3 and TS

http://www.native-instruments.com/traktormicrosite/#/en/traktor-scratch-pro/?page=pricing

And there’s a grace period for a free upgrade if you buy TRAKTOR SCRATCH 1 between October 5th and December 31st, 2008.

I just saw!

Weee im gettin it for free!
