scratching with midi controller+traktor pro advice
Hi, I just set up my Bcd-3000 to work with scratching with Traktor Pro. Does anyone have any tips or advice on learning to scratch with midi controllers? I’m a complete beginner in the scratch field.
The BCD doesnt have touch sensitive jogs which doesnt make it incredibly useful for scratching - you really need touch sensitive jogs to be able to do beatjuggles and psudo-scratching properly.
If i had touch sensitive jogs the first thing i would learn to do probably is do some beat juggling using the jogs and crossfader to build up your motor co-ordination. Also check out some turntablism videos and learn the different crossfader tricks that they use to cut up the sound.
