Screen Real Estate question on MBP 13"
Okay, so I just bought a new MBP 13.3 inch and im kind of regretting not going with a 15". It does have the thunderbolt display out, but im not dropping another grand on a 27" monitor. So when running 4 decks in traktor I get about 3 tracks worth of browser at the bottom.
So my question is if I buy a ordinary LCD monitor, say a 23". Will this actually increase screen real estate… or wil it just blow up my image that I have on my laptop now, in other words, be a direct “mirror”? Anyone have any experience with this?
i have a dell 22" monitor connected to my MBP 13" and it does increase screen real estate big style
Do you have the thunderbolt display or mini display out?
i have the thunderbolt display output as my MBP is early 2011 it also accepts mini display out so i got a minid display to HDMI and plug in via that into the monitor
So mine is a mid 2012, it will also accept a mini display adapter?
to my knowledge yes as the port is the same shape and style double check on the apple website it should say if it accepts mini display or just thunderbolt
Yep, just looked it up and its good to go. Thanks for your help!!!
no problem glad to be of help.
