It was because I wanted to use Logic and my mate is a Logic tutor. Logic won’t work with a “two bit refurbished pc” or any PC… Try to read and understand the whole post before you pour your usual bile on something.

Off topic: How you liking the Shure M447’s. Buying some as a soon as I sell my Q.Bert’s. The Q’s are great, I just fancy a change.
I don’t get it either. Plenty of us will not agree and that’s cool, and I’m sure some folks feel very strongly about their opinion, and even sometimes the bickering is entertainig and even educational — but I just don’t get the negativity?
Oh and I checked out the set you posted on the other thread. I’ve never really listened to Psy before — couldn’t tell if you were on 2 decks or 12! I guess that’s a good thing

I had some Orotofon Concorde Nightclubs, never used Q-berts…much prefer the M447’s. Cheaper as well!

2 track decks playing them songs and a 3rd with a loop on it and 4th deck with samples.
Nothing MAJOR…but proving to the nay-sayers here locally that you CAN play 4 deck Psy…albeit it not being 4 songs at once.
Only Minimal Tech sounds good like that…to me anyways.
I have never tried the M447’s. But have Ortofon Concorde Electro’s and Scratch’s (them pink ones).
Both seem really nice to me. Dont get much skipping etc. BUT…I don’t play out on TT’s. Just at home for fun.

Yeah buddy, the 447s or even the 44Gs are absolutley amazing, once weighted properly you really have to try and skip them. Sound clarity is good on both i think the G’s have a slightly louder signal then the 447s but the 447s have even more ‘anti skip’
both are great especailly if your using DVS
Wish I could just order some now but my mrs would go BALLISTIC… It’s a one in/one out policy at the moment so I’ll shift these Qberts and then get the M447’s.
I read that the G’s are louder but I definitely want the skiplessness (real word?) of the 477’s.
i use 444gs and 447s karlos…
dependent on your level of scratching there isnt much in them at all…
i use the 444gs in the club as they have a warmer sound (when i stick on some actual vinyl and bypass traktor)
best thing is you can us the 47 and 4G stylus on either cart, so you can choose whats best for you 
Im going to agree with the ‘more alive’ feel for TT’s. I got a set to get savvy on them and naturally they kick the S4’s to the curb as they are a lot more fun to use. I dont do much mixing above 2 decks anyway, so the S4 will be on the way out for a decent mixer, as the Jogwheels look kind of sad sitting there on their own.
But it’s each to their own and style i suppose. Someone who mixes a lot of loops and samples etc wont have the need and feel for TT’s where Scratch (naturally!) and blend DJ’s may prefer TT’s. I certainly do.

i’m similar to haze i started on turntables when they were industry standard had years gap now trying to get back on it…
theres no need to get defence about it making it a “controller VS turnable”, some people will relate some people wont.

They aint monitors, 15 year old Wharfedale HiFi speakers (Diamond 7.1), run through an even older NAD (SIA 310) HiFi Amp. Does me fine if I’m honest. MAY upgrade to some KRK’s at a later date, but probably not.
