My current set up is using HID connection to 2 CDJ 900 Nexus (Deck A&B) via my macbook prop laptop with a Traktor X1 mk2. I use the CDJ Aggregator to set them as individual sound cards and this set up works great for me.
My question is how can I incorporate my F1 to control the remix deck with this set up? I can route the F1 (deck C) to only one of the 2 sound cards (or split it but it’s only on one channel), ideally I’d like this to be a available on both channels in stereo or possibly a 3rd input on the mixer - is this possible? Are there any work arounds?
in that case you best bet is to get an audio interface with 3 or more stereo outs.
The Trakor scratch A6 would be the obvious choice, could get on ebay to save a bit of money.
Any of the more studio orientated interfaces would also work, but would loose the option of using timcode that the A6 provides.
Of course using a different mixer with an interface built in would also work e.g. DJM 750/850/900/2000, Xone DB2/DB4/43C, Rane mp2015/68/64 etc…
No you would run all the audio out of the single audio interface, hence the need for at least 3 stereo outs.
The CDJs would act purely as HID controllers.
