Setup my Kontrol S4 with CDJ:s?
Hey guys!
Me and a friend wan’t to setup our stations together. My S4 and his CDJ:s. How can we do that, so that we get it as optimized as possible? I do have the Traktor Scratch Pro 2 Upgrade kit, but where should I install it? And does anybody know how many computers I can install my Traktor Pro 2 on?
Please help me, I’m a beginner.
Sigh…it seems like kids these days always want to be spoon fed information without digging around themselves.
TP2 can be installed on 2 machines with 1 licence, this bit of info is not easy to find so ill give it to ya.
setting up scratch onto your S4 works like this:
Your 2 CDJs will be plugged into the line in on Decks C and D…and voila
Forgive me, but I have done some research but I still can’t figure out how to set it up. I have a computer, obviously with the S4 and Traktor 2. When I want to install the Scratch Pro 2 it only says “A more recent verison of Traktor 2 is installed, do you wan’t to downgrade the version?”. Do I use RCA cables to conncet the S4 with the CDJ:s?

Yes, install the TSP2 then you will have to update using the service center.
Make sure on your S4 on the back both Channel D and C are set to Line in not Phono In, and then plug in via RCA…theres only RCA there…
what kind of cdjs are they ? if they are 350,850,900, or 2000 then use HID much better than timecode
So, what if I want to buy a new laptop? I would like to be able to have it installed on a home computer and a laptop. Buying another version of traktor just seems like a lot… Is there anyway to register traktor on multiple computers AND be able to change which computers can use it?
