Instead of starting new thread for each of my controller, I’ve figured it would be best to keep it all in one topic. So, in short, Shantea Controls is the name I’ve given to my virtual company which builds MIDI controllers. Since the company doesn’t exist in reality, the only one behind all the work (which I do in my bedroom) is me. Anyways, I’ve started building Sensimidia, which is my 2nd commercial project (I build these things for money), and 3rd “Shantea Controls” project in total. First two controllers are covered here and here. The design and construction is pretty much the same as Anandamidi, but I’ve managed to make some improvements, most significally, this controller is based on my OpenDeck project (you can read about it on this forum, or on my blog), and this time I have necessarry screws for faders. Here are couple of pictures:
Sensimidia (kudos to people who figure out the source of the name) is still work in progress, so I’ll keep updating this thread. Oh, for those with facebook, here’s a test run I did today with it:
I’m going to make new version of Tannin, as soon as I get all the components. This is the design:
Compared to original Tannin, it uses 16 silicone keys, 16 LEDs (one on each key), 16 potentiometers, 4 encoders (below pots) and 3 metal buttons. Any thoughts?
