Signature Pictures?

Hey.

I’ve been lurking for a while and thought I’d better get involved!

I can’t seem to shrink down the following image:


I want to put it in my signature. I’m using CorelDraw - but when I shrink it to 500x100 pixels, it’s too big (in kb), and when I shrink it to a size <9.8kb, it says that the size (in pixels) is all wrong, even though the file is 290x98pixels?

Anyone got any idea?

Best way would be to reduce the pixels but there should be a tick box or something that says “maintain aspect ratio”. Basically, you want both the length and width to reduce proportionally. i would go for around 300px width. If you can’t figure it out I can do it for you.

The error is done by the forum, or just in Corel?

By the looks of it, reducing the image size is squishing the picture. 290x98 is not the same ratio as 500x100.

290x98 is the size I get when I maintain the aspect ratio. I thought that 500x100 was a max. size, and 290x98 would be fine?

happydan if i send you the file (just let me know what format), could you shrink it down to size (pixel/kb) so that I can use it in my sig? For some reason the colour (the blue and the red) gets altered when I export to jpeg.

Your logo looks like it say “Buffalo Al” rather than “Buffalo Ill” anyway :wink:

I read it as Buffalo Al as well. Maybe we should change it to Bill.

should Avatar pics not be 80 x 80 pics ?

Thanks Dirk. Could you do me a big favour and change the aqua blue/red into a proper blue and red? (Like the normal blue and red used in the Union Jack/Stars n’ Stripes?) The same as used in my avatar.

is the file’s profile CMYK or RGB? that might be messing up the colors

Seriously, I can’t see it? Does the capital “I” look like a lower case “a” to you, or does the capital “I” and the first “l” look like a capital “A”.

Might have to tweak it a little if I’m gonna get stick over it.

But with some imagination You can easily see it as an ‘A’ or an ‘H’.
