SL3 Core Audio Drivers

Well, I know it has a hefty pricetag, but with the newest updates, the SL3 box now supports Core Audio and ASIO.

It basically means that it’s more than just a dongle, and it’s an audio interface that can be used for many applications.

I haven’t seen anything posted about this yet, and thought it would be good to bring up on here. Now you can use the SL3 interface for Traktor/Ableton/Cubase whathaveyou.

I’m glad that they finally did this. It makes the SL3 box a much bigger deal for the money.

Thinking about this more, I’m even more enthused about it. My friend has SL1 at the moment, but has been talking about potentially upgrading to SL3 and getting another TT. My other friend just switched to Traktor Pro, and I’m still deciding.

But it means that with an SL3 box, we can use it to run Traktor Pro, and so wouldn’t have to use an additional audio interface. Pretty nice.

It’s worth noting the SL3 isn’t Traktor Scratch certified, so you can’t use Traktor Scratch Pro with it…
