“Slip Mode” Trick in Traktor
on CDJ 2000 there is this stop/start trick you can do with slip mode that sound real cool.
the New serato has it too but i have not used it,
I figured out a way around to this in traktor and just would like to share

Can’t watch at work, but I will when I get home…
Ummmm… I don’t quite understand what you’re trying to do. All you’re doing here is using effects… How is this related to Slip/Flux mode??
Its the TT motor off sound…
But as its digital, you have more control over it and you can turn it off immediately.
Has nothing to do with Flux Mode.
SlipMode on the CDJ is pretty much grabbing the platter and scratching, and the track continues when you let go, where it would have been had you not touched the platter.
AKA Flux in Traktor.
This is not it.

It’s funny that when I saw a title first I thought I’ll see good old deck duplicating trick that simulate the slip-flux mode in Traktor.
HAHAHAHA…yeah, I found that on the Tube too…too much effort for SlipMode in Traktor!
This has nothing to do with flux mode.
On cdjs when slip mode is on you can change the start/stop time to make it slow down like a turntable but instead of starting where it stopped, it will start where the track would have been if it didnt stop at all.
you guys never seen that b4?
this is what its meant to replicate
Nice dude! I’m into it. I do that on CDJs but never thought to use the TT effect in Traktor because I only use it with TTs
Since platter speed control / scratching is where CDJ slip mode holds an advantage over Traktor flux mode, this is a great solution.
Mapping TTFX to the play button can give the same behavior. Drop a toggle mod to flux button then use both conditions to determine when is effect going to come in and out. Don’t forget to say play not to stop when flux is on.
eh…that sonds a lil complicated
Well maybe if you’re new to mappings. I’m just saying that Traktor can do this with a bit of creative thoughts.
i wouldnt say new but def just basic stuff, nothing to do with modifiers
This isnt anything new IMO…
