Small surprises inside TP2
What’s the small little surprise. you’ve found inside TP2?
Unplugged the S4 today and noticed that TP2 automatically switched to Core Audio.
I can finally set my beat grids and cue points without a audio interface.

Ean already mentioned this on his full review ![]()
I’m really glad that the FX/EQ routing was reverted from the way they set it in Pro S4
Fook
Guess I should stop skimming and start reading.
gridding in bed. the ultimate in comfort.
You always could grid without an audio interface, you just pick built in audio and traktor uses your laptops onboard sound.
yeah but that requires EFFORT bro
DJ/practice/make mixes/grab gigs or spend a unknown amount of time looking for something in TP that isn’t necessary to DJ.
Time management BRO.
I’m gunna go down the “spend an hour playing with the settings and understanding how it works and what I need to do when it fucks up” route.
You’re going to want to save the 8 minutes it takes to look at the options in the menu of the software that is the core piece of your performance art.
You mean the kid of stuff you figure out when you start using TP along with testing the limits of your setup?
Mod can close this thread. Obviously mrpopinjay just feels like trolling around today.
Still a pleasant surprise.
What? I was just saying that it’s always worth taking a little bit of time out from practising or whatever in order to make sure that you understand the software you’re working with and that you have it set up in a manner that suits you. How’s that trolling?
That’s good advice man.
The “EFFORT” looked as though it had large hints of sarcasm.
My apologies then. This is the exact reason I hate communicating through text/written word. Too man things can be assumed or taken out of context.
Yeah, sorry dude I was just making a crappy joke.
My biggest problem with the internet is that I forget you can’t really tell tone via text. At least not when you write as poorly as I do.
Ok this may be a noob question…but when i drop a grid marker, why does it set it to my first cue as in ‘cue 1’
Can’t I just set that point to ‘cue’…maybe I’m missing something here but in traktor s4 I never had this problem.
May be in preferences somewhere, i’ve only played around on it for a few hours
Prefs/File Management/Store Beatmarker as Hotcue. Deactivate it
Holy crap I didn’t even know you could do that…
Time to RTFM then ![]()
