So… I’m getting a S4?
Talked it over with the wife and looks like I’ll be going from a MPD 32 and Virtual DJ to the S4 with Traktor!
Should be here at the end of the week.
I have an older Dell and my wife has a Mac, will I notice a difference between the two?
I’ve grabbed a tutorial on Traktor from 2010, is the software roughly the same as 2013?
Should I keep the MPD 32 or sell it?
Any thing else I should know/ expect?

Once you get your bearings with Traktor, you can map the MPD for instant Fx, controlling a deck, etc.
I would use the MAC for Traktor, as it seems there are fewer issues with Traktor on MACs
What’s the Dell?
Keep the controller, and use it with Traktor once you get to know how to use the S4 with it.
The Dell is XPS M1210.
Also will the tutorial from 2010 transfer to 2013 software?
Should I upgrade from Traktor LE? Seem like I should for better mapping options.

S4 should come with a full edition of Traktor, unless you are buying used. Then I would upgrade to the full Traktor Pro.
Almost all tutorials and videos for Traktor after Traktor 3 would apply. There have been small changes, but they have more built upon, rather than change drastically, what they’ve had since Traktor Pro 1.x.x
The S4 comes with a full version of Traktor Pro. The only upgrade from there is getting Traktor Scratch Pro, but the only advantage to that is using timecodes, something I find I don’t need to bother with since my S4 does so much.
I still don’t regret getting my S4 after over a month, great piece of kit, used it almost every day.
