So we had a spate of illegal protests today here in Cape Town…
…the cops took action and I was there to film it!
This was just one of them. There were a few clashes with the law.
I work 100m away from where this was taken.
Flashbangs (Stun Granades) and a Blue Water Cannon!
what were the protests about?
They say its “Service Delivery”, but actually it was in support of the bunch’s leader, who was jailed for throwing shit…yes..poo…on the parliament steps and also in the roads etc.
He was going to court yesterday and they therefore demonstrated.
It was illegal too. They did not have permission to march.
Towards the end of last year, the same bunch looted and destroyed a popular Street in a mall in the city center.
People were hurt etc.
So this time the cops stopped them.
