Some buttons dont light up
Hi i just notice in my s4 some weird behaivors like the size and set loop dont show the number on the little window in the s4 and when i want to go forward or backward the move knob dont make anything
i think in the traktor pro 2 this work normal
why its that?
it has something to do with the djtt mapping cause when i install it and then want my traktor back i have a little weird feeling
that something its not ok
Im having the same issue. But a different button.
My right side Fx2 the dry/wet button lights up when i push it.
My left side Fx1 the dry/wet button doesn’t light up when i push it.
Does the left side have another purpose rather that the right side? How come my left side isn’t lighting up like the right side?
I have the Traktor Kontrol s2 though. Not understanding why the right side lights up when i click it in. The left side doesn’t light up…
YouR left side(fx1) is probably set up as 3 chained effects, in that case the button next to dry/wet doesn’t turn the effects on and off.
The dry/wet button on the fx1 side doesn’t turn on.
The right side fx2, the “1” button isn’t lighting up.
The dry/wet button on the fx2 side turns on. How come the dry/wet button on theleft side doesn’t turn on but the right does?
The fx1 side the 1 2 3 all light up when i push them. The right side the 2 3 light up but the 1 doesn’t light up.
This is what I imagine is happening:
It depends on how your FX are set up. By default FX1 is chained with 3 FX and you turn each of them on individually with the buttons next to the knobs. By default FX2 is a single effect and each knob controls a different parameter and the button next to dry/wet turns on the entire fx unit. The reason that some of the buttons don’t light up on your right side is that those buttons don’t have a function for whatever effect you have loaded. Take a look at you screen and you will see the differences in the chained fx and single and see that the button that doesn’t light up on your right unit will be faded out in the traktor software.
Yeah my friend said it was settings this is was he texted me. “It depends what mode you’re in. If you’re in parameter mode then it will light up when you turn the effect on. If you’re in list mode that is usually disabled”, guy at guitar center said download the latest driver for mac after we opened a brand new tractor s2 and it did the same thing as mine.
So i went to native instruments and downloaded a file for mac. There is a lot of downloads hopefully i downloaded the right one driver update but a huge list of downloads for a lot of products so i found a file under “Kontrol S2” for mac and downloaded it.
Like you say also i don’t know how to sign each knob to a function. When i go into settings they say "delay for direct fx1 reverb for direct fx2 and flanger for direct fx3.
Didn’t see anything for the dry/wet button on the settings list.
i click preferences and i will read them to you.
Gain knobs: Gain (shift:filter)
Loop buttons: manual looping
Tempo faders: Absolute
Job wheels: Disable jog wheel push
Led meters: PGM is checked.
How do i sign a effect to the fx2 side (right side of controller) But number 1 button? Or how do i change from list mode to parameter mode? My friend said on the controller there is a list button but he has tractor s4 and his controller has more buttons then mine. Can i access parameters mode in the traktor pro program? Or would i need to sign a effect to “1” knob on the right side.
How do i get my dry/wet button on the left side to function like the right side?
I just bought my traktor s2 i want some production sound effects like echo or other types.
Look through your Traktor/S2 manuals that came with the controller(digitally). You will get your answers quickly in the effects section.
It’s all pretty straight forward and intuitive once you understand how the fx sections operate, and I think going through the manual will get your answers quicker. If you want to change the effect simply click the dropdown menu in the effect section.
Look at some S2 videos on YouTube and you’ll be running smooth in no time

Not sure. I don’t download mappings for that reason. If anything goes wrong i would not know how to go back to regular settings. I have traktor s2 not the s4 though.
im a bit confused. You do realise that if you use the DJTT mapping then you lose the use of the loop display so it won’t show any reading.
