Some NI plugins just disappeared…
So, some of my NI Plugins (Solid Mix Series, which run in Guitar Rig) disappeared. They show up in Service Center, but not in the standalone player or any version of the Guitar Rig plugin I can load in Maschine or Logic.
I’m updating Guitar Rig at the moment, and I’ll see if I still have the installers for the SMS, but yeah…any ideas why this’d happen?
Also, the NI service web site blows. I’ve never had to contact them before, and I hope I never have to again. There’s not an entry for what I’m having problems with and no way to skip “required fields”.
Update: For some reason, the issue seems to have fixed itself.
Next on my shit list…the interaction between NI’s trials and Komplete integration in Maschine. The result: a beat I was working on seemed to be fine for the first hour or two…restarting Maschine means all the synth sounds got replaced by a plucky-sounding sine wave because they all came out of Absynth, which I’m demoing. I wasn’t trying to use Absynth…they were just the sounds that sounded right and somehow I didn’t notice.
Well…it’s an effective sales technique.
