Some suggestions for maschine lessons from really basic
Ive just brought the machine studio and i had a lot of fun with with but I really have no clue about producing like literally nothing can some one request some tutorials,online lessons from really basic stuff and i mean basic as I’m know nothing but so eager to learn.Even ones you have to pay for I’ve watched a lot of videos on the net today and they all get really technical was wondering if any one knows some videos that talks you threw everything from whats synths are compression etc. also have just brought the dance manual book so hopefully that will help understand better.beginners guide to production and machine studio itself if anyone would know some perfect vids/lessons that would be great. Thanks !
There are two phases to what you are asking…and using a bad analogy (aren’t they all?)…
Learn to drive the car
You need to learn how to operate the software and hardware well enough to actually get something done. There are “generic” music synthesis classes on www.coursera.org that are REALLY handy for learning the vocabulary of what you’re doing. This is not the interesting part of music production.
Plan a road trip
THIS is where things actually get interesting. You are going to be composing a song from bits and pieces of music and notes and sounds. Knowing where you want to go, and the route you want to take is the part of this that is actually interesting. Again, www.coursera.org has some great classes on music composition, including several that are aimed at the digital musician.
