Songs play on itnues ok, but seems like parts are missing when on traktor/serato

This is not a major issue, as it only affects a handful of songs I have.

They play on itunes fine, but when loaded on Traktor some parts are missing (think of it as an instrument missing). At times some of the songs I can hear fully when I cue them on my headsets, but the “missing” parts always are missing when I play it through the master outs.

I contacted the producers of the songs and they fixed the problem the first time around (do not know how they did though).

It happened again with another song so I contacted them again. Apparently it is a mutual issue with some producers and they do not know what causes it. they all work fine on ableton and CDJs apparently, but not on Traktor/Serato.

Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know what the issue may be?

Again this has only happpened for a handful of songs (less than 5).

If the parts are there in iTunes I don’t see how it’s possible for them to not be there in Traktor. Is this something off Soundcloud where I can download it?

Remember that iTunes play through its own ‘Enhancer’ that makes songs more bright and shizzle.
Traktor (Serato and maybe) are ‘Bit Transparent’ so all you hear is the raw mp3 (yes when no eq/fx/ts is applied yawn).

I just dont get this at all…???

Your problem is, your issue occurred on your #666th post! EVIL! Go get you copy of Traktor blessed by a priest, exorcism if necessary and you should be good to go XD

at 2:50 i was only able to hear the kicks through traktor (not the synths)

the rest were purchased through beatport.

i’ll ask if they have the old, unfixed version.

I don’t know and I doubt it, just throwing this out there. If a producer makes a track using a 5.1 surround audio setup with samples coming through the LR/RR channels, then people with a 2.1 won’t hear them (L/R). Are your channels in traktor config’d properly?

no, it should send ALL left channels through the left and ALL right on the right

but i could be wrong. but that still wont explain why it works in itunes and not traktor

im d/ling the song from SC and ill try it out.

thats the fixed version, im waiting to hear back from them…its 10 45 in italy though. so hopefully they don’t have crazy sleep schedules like sleeping early!

could be a phasing issue, all the mono stuff is cancelling out

sounds the same on my itunes and traktor. could you tell us on what parts it’s supposed to be different?

The song plays fine while you’re playing through the headphones in Traktor?

so maybe someone can try this for me: mess with the pan. maybe the synth comes out one side more than the other
