Sound card/mixer help

I have been using an m audio fast track pro as my sound card with traktor 2 and I am overr it! The sound quality sucks, pops and cuts out quite a bit. I want to upgrade to a set up with better sound but i am on a veryy low budget and also have a couple good gigs comin up soon. My question is could i use something like the numark m6 usb http://www.guitarcenter.com/Numark-M6-USB-DJ-Mixer-106064470-i1545610.gc as my sound card with traktor 2 via usb and switch to external mixing? Are there any other similarly cheap options? I want to get a mixer so i can run multiple djs and an ipod or cd player back up

Anybody? Could i use the m6’s usb channel for traktor and just mix internally with a midi controller?

the audio quality is probably just fine. what you experience are, most likely, latency issues.

post some info on your setup (hardware, OS, etc.) so people can point you in the right direction.
