Soundmeter smartphone apps question.

Soundmeter smartphone apps question.

Hello,

I’m new to tinnitus & co and was asking myself about how much db I was listening music so I try with these apps because of the price (free).

So my question is: Is this a little precise on a standard phone (Samsung Galaxy Iphone 4-5 etc.. ) ?

They tend to be 5-15 db off from a real meter. not really accurate, but enough to give you a rough idea.

Thanks !

lol i saw the doctor 2 weeks ago he said i already have the beginning stages of tinnitus. not enough to be noticeable in any situation, but now im using ear plugs all the time.

yep im tempted to buy apro pair but it cost 350 $ where I live…

check em out, they are not like world class quality but, for the price they will get you started. Believe me tinnitus is something you will want to nip in the bud.

I am getting old fast. I just hate earplugs. I love bass and I love to hear exactly what’s being projected. I guess I’d rather burn out than fade away.

One of my friends has tinnitus from DJing at 23… sounds like a very quick burn out to me.

Always protect your ears.

Im 22 but I think the studio environnement is not my problem … I didnt do anything a part freeparty and what come with for 3 years and listen everyday music all the journey so I think my ear cant support the fatigue I did a 10 day pause and it seems a little better.
