Sourcing transport buttons for DIY project

Hi guys

I’m building a midi fighter inspired device but I need to source durable transport buttons, with icons or words on them .

I need Rec, Overdub, Stop, Play, Cue or Pause, Tempo, and also some other more unique ones.

Is there a good source for this sort of thing around or should I just buy up broken gear off eBay?

If you have the budget for it, buy arcade buttons with the removable transparent plungers. These are designed so you can print your own overlays with whatever symbol or words you want inside the plunger so you can customise it however you want. There is no better feeling, more durable button, but they are expensive.
