Speakers for man cave

Speakers for man cave

Hi, I currently have some krk rokit 6 for my monitor connected by xlr but want to add some more speakers to my system facing out to seating.
I currently have a pioneer djm900 but am not sure of the best way to do this or connect.
Would I be better getting some more active speakers, if so what’s the best way to connect or should I buy a seperate small amp and some passive speakers?

Thanks Mark

1 set on booth out and 1 on the main ?

what kind of speakers where you thinking of if you go passive? Hifi speakers or a PA system?

I’m not really sure to be honest which would be best between pa or hifi, I just want to get a decent bit of kit or find some good makes to look at

What size room? Do you want it louder, or add more bass? Budget?

I would get 2 Yamaha DBR10s and a small sub like the Behringer B1200D.

Thanks for the replies, I think i need to re look at the budget for this.

Personally, I’d avoid trying to fill a room with sound using studio monitors. Go for a PA and keep it low, or get a 2.1 hifi separates system.

If you decide to go passive on a budget the Behringer iNuke amps have a DSP model that’s really fun to tweak. You can get some cheap boxes sounding good and really tune your room.

What did you decide on?
