has anyone checked out this new website called Splice? Basically, it allows you to upload your DAW project, in all it’s stem glory, and let people pick apart your production techniques, or remix & sample certain parts.
I really REALLY hope this takes off. Learning the mastering chain of some producers techniques, or how they synthesized that bassline in a song would be super handy in learning myself. It tells you what plugins were used, plus even has a “top 100” of plugins used in projects by people uploading tracks.
The most recent big one was from Henry Fong. Splice
I could see this service really being useful in the future for multi-track DJing as well. What are your thoughts?
I’m an online student at Pyramind training for their ableton certification class, and we use splice to share with our instructors our assignments. Its really handy because, like its been said, for edits to be done and to see actual techniques used by people with more experience.
I use it, check out J Trick and Henry Fong they just released their project for “Scream” You can literally open their project if you have matching DAWs.
