spun a party for a friend of mine last night, and another friend of his showed up with his stanton cdj setup, and after asking “what do you spin” and hearing “drum and bass” - this is what happened. i spun rap a capellas while he laid the beats.
being so spontaneous, our setup wasn’t optimal. the monitoring was poor, and we were semi-drunk, so yeah there are parts where the beat gets a little off, but when it clicks this stuff friggin CLICKED. i hope you guys enjoy it as much as i do (i started off mixing rap/hip hop and now spin mostly dnb, so it’s like the best of both worlds for me).
also, if you guys could name some of these tracks the a capellas go over that would be sweet. i feel like a n00b for asking, but some of these are mega toonz i’m not familiar with.

hell yeah. why do ya think i’m learning dnb? everyone round here is gagging for it and there are bugger all guys in this town doing it. If there was a new sub genre combining psy and dnb i’d be in bliss… Psy & Bass anyone? speaking of which, our dnb is slowly analysing in traktor atm, only 400 tracks to go lol
