Staging a Nasty-off

Staging a Nasty-off

I always wanted to do a DJ Battle between someone into death metal or some other hard style Rock (that I don’t yet know the genre name for) and a DJ into dark, hard Techno and see who can destroy the other sonically. A “Nasty”-off if you will.

I have a feeling whatever feelings of grimy-murderousness the Rock DJ can bring about will be crushed under the wheels of a techno remix reaching into your brain and directly triggering the feelings without the need for language.

So, track suggestions for a Nasty-off? Bring out your skin crawling aggro tracks! I’ll start:

Look up some tracks by Current Value such as G2 Hunt, Addict or The Indivisible Force, …
The Outside Agency & Ophidian - Scattered
Gein - The Sermon
Limewax - Inside The Crack (Technical Itch VIP)
Cooh - Alarmax
Technical Itch - Death Jazz VIP
The Panacea - Chiropteran

These are mostly Techstep but Scattered is Hardcore/Gabba

May or may not be exactly what you’re looking for but some crazy stuff nonetheless.

P.S. This song is crazy good and will cause instant mosh pits.

Used to jump to this in my yellow cavello pants:

Gabba? Is that the best you can do? Sure, it’s fast but it is nasty enough? How about this for lyrics (2:00 onwards)…

Or for just crushing energy:

Come on, up your suggestions! Gabba is lightweight stuff.

Is Power Noize allowed?

or this excellent piece:

… Only one of my suggestions is Gabba, rest is DnB

Lyrics-wise I’ll have to think about it. I’m in class right now, can’t exactly start blasting crazy shit.

you will fail. metal is king.

Death Metal

Despised Icon - Oval Shaped Incisions

/win

weird no one posted anything about atari teenage riot so far

Not sure if it’s hard enough, but this is some classic metal/rock that I’ve often thought about mixing into something.

Maybe I was confused? Are you looking for harcore metal? or hardcore electronic? perhaps both?

and two classics

Does it have to be 4-beat based? If not, there’s some early breakcore, but it appeals to the rock crowd too and mixes with nothing/everything. Plus you WILL win when noise is the deciding factor.

Or this one:

Man, I soooo miss the good years of Digital Hardcore Recordings. Shizuo vs. Shizor is still one of my favourite albums, actually makes me giggle everytime I think of it
Plus It’s always great fun to see people who are not used to that stuff trying to dance to it. The rock crowd loves it!
(Oh, and by the way: YES, it does sound THAT crappy on the original vinyl. Part of the experience!)

Correct

Here is John Peel’s favorite Grindcore Band Napalm Death
