I hate you for that.
Can’t say he isn’t a crazy fucking dj, can you? ![]()
Maybe steal some articles from this Blog: http://virtualdjskins-tutorial.blogspot.com/
But serioualy I hope it goes well mate.
copy and paste the ‘iz drunk’ thread ![]()
good luck bro.
speaking from experience the hard part isn’t starting one, it’s staying interested enough to maintain it. it’s a lot of work and after the honeymoon phase passes of “wow people i like email me tracks”, it’s very tough to stay enthusiastic.
started mine about a year ago, haven’t updated in a few months - considering closing shop so i can focus more on my producing and other more creatively fulfilling interests.
I second this, I’ve started like eight, only one got past three posts. Which was a porn blog that actually made me some money ![]()
Can I get a link?
To everyone saying it’s hard to stay interested,… Your probable right. But I don’t care. It sounds fun. I plan on keeping it VERY simple. It’s just a blog, not a website (even though a blog is a website, you know what I mean). If I get uninterested and quit doing it so what. I been searching the internet and looking for interesting DJ stuff since the internet started. It only takes a few seconds to post the things I’ve found and share with everyone, not to mention promote my own happy ass. I think I should be able to keep it up. But if not, that’s fine too.
Thanks for the input guys.
Crazy fuckin DJ, NO.
Stupid fuckin DJ, YES.
Another pointer, don’t promote it too much until you actually have something on there. Since nobody will know what to come back for. The way it looks now, I wont be a returning customer.
yeah i wasn’t trying to discourage you from doing it, just wanted to share my insights as i was in your very shoes only a year ago.
I’m not running a popularity contest. Nor concerned with “returning customers”. I feel a little dis’d that you had to point out you won’t be going back to the site,… oh,… and now I’m over it. I’m not promoting that hard, not now, probable not ever. Just having fun trying to put together an audio and video list of things DJ related that I like. I started this thread to see what all you guys had to share and maybe put it all together in one place.
I appreciate the info from those who have ran blogs before. No disrespect, but it’s blog is not really that big of a deal now-a-days and that’s not what I was trying to get out of this thread.
Were are all the cool youtube videos and soundcloud profiles that you guys enjoy to check out. That’s what I was looking for. And so far all I’ve got is Pauly fuckin dumn ass D and a Virtual DJ tutorial. Come on guys.
bit harsh, so what if nothing on there now, will have eventually
Why, because it aint full of porn… tsk seriously dude… give the guy a break.
I can be a bit harsh at times, didn’t mean to bring it that way though.
What I mean is, if the site had 10 interesting vids before he posted the link, I probably would’ve bookmarked it. But right now, it’s like the 8 blogs I have floating around the internet somewhere with an introduction of what I want to do with it.
Hope this is more constructive.
I think I misunderstood what you were trying to do with the blog. The Pauly D vid wasn’t meant to dis, I seriously thought you wanted “crazy fucking djs.” But what I understand now is that you want something more along the terms of “cool fucking djs.”
Because I kinda pushed the thread in a way you definitely didn’t mean to, I would like to make up by posting the first cool DJ video, something that most people here will have seen:
Thanks, I’m gonna create a page for video’s that most people into DJing have probable already seen. I’m calling it the classic video’s page. Not quite sure if I’m gonna link it to the main menu in the blog or only on the regular videos page.
But thanks for the link, I actually never seen this video, but it looks kinda like the Q-bert show I seen back in miami, summer of 03’. Don’t remember if he was on the QFO or not. Actually I’m not sure the QFO was out back then, but I’m pretty sure he was wearing that same shirt. I asked if he would battle me. He just laughed. I bet he was afraid of my skills.
A blog doesnt have to have a lot of stuff to make it popular. some very small blogs have the best gems if you ask me. If you were here when DJTT started its blog back in 2006 you would have never thought it would be this big in 2010.
