Strange sound from MIDI release
whenever i release a key on my midi keyboard, I get some weird gonk kind of tone. any thoughts as to why?
I believe it is to do with the MIDI routing settings. Go to you controller mappig tab in the settings and try changing the MIDI OUT and MIDI IN settings.
If that doesn’t work, go into the computer settings and try and work out where midi is being routed around your computer.

ooooh..i got it. it was some weird test tone that only played while MIDI setup app was launched. thanks for the help tho!
